Crumbly tahini cookies with walnuts and a gently sweet, nutty finish.
Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 200 ml oil
- 90 g powdered sugar
- 100 ml tahini
- 100 g chopped walnuts
- 10 g baking powder
- 10 g vanilla powder
Jasmine’s tips
- Bring the ingredients to room temperature.
- Add the flour gradually so you can control the dough’s consistency.
- The finished dough should be soft and pliable, similar to the softness of an earlobe.
Method
- Stir the tahini, oil, and powdered sugar together.
- Add the vanilla powder, chopped walnuts, and half of the flour. Begin kneading.
- Add the remaining flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
- Take walnut-sized pieces of dough and roll them into balls in your palms. Arrange them on a baking tray.
- Preheat the oven to 170°C or 350°F, as recorded in Jasmine’s original recipe. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden. Baking time may vary by oven.
